Profile

Adam Weisman joined Hinderaker & Rauh as an associate in 2002 and became a partner in 2010. He is licensed to practice law in Arizona and Wyoming. A graduate of the University of Arizona Rogers College of Law, Weisman’s practice focuses on business litigation, especially in the areas of real estate, landlord and tenant law, land use and easements, and contracts. Weisman is the past Chair of the Real Property Section of the Arizona Bar Association. Representing clients throughout the State of Arizona, Weisman has appeared for bench and jury trials in Pima, Maricopa, Pinal, Navajo, Cochise, Santa Cruz, Graham, Greenlee, and Yuma Counties, and in Federal Courts. He has also briefed and argued appeals, including the Arizona Supreme Court. Weisman has lectured to both legal professionals and lay people on landlord and tenant issues and complex easement matters, and has also provided legal advice or pro bono legal services to Tucson arts and athletic organizations. Weisman consults with clients and non-clients alike on residential landlord and tenant problems and is always happy to answer tenant questions at no cost. A former college professor of American literature, Weisman is married to a Tucson native, Rebecca Taylor, and they have three children who attended Tucson public schools and one (so far) carrying on the Wildcat tradition.

Adam's practice experience includes:

  • Prevailing in the oral argument of Kadlec v. Dorsey before the Arizona Supreme Court.
  • Obtaining dismissal and partial summary judgment in St. Philip's Plaza v. Noble Investment Group, LLC, 2016 WL 11603000 () and 2015 WL 13816722
  • Winning a successful jury verdict for HRW client, Blue Diamond Homes, in Navajo County.
  • Settling a breach of lease litigation for a commercial landlord for over $500,000, including future rent.
  • Enforcing a contract against a major health insurance company in American Arbitration Association proceedings on behalf HRW client, Dependable Health Services.
  • More than a decade of practice in the Juvenile Court.
  • Successfully representing homeowners and contractors before the Registrar of Contractors.
